I was speechless, as I didn't know a HD5000 could be this good, and that the Sims ran this bad on OS X. Sims 4 System Requirements Mac These are the requirements for The Sims 4 base game, no expansions included. According to EA, the publisher of the Sims, SIMS 4 will play on a Mac that meets the following requirements: Mac OS version: Mac OS 10 X 10.9 or later. I changed all the settings to high on Windows, and I was still getting 60+ fps, but the Macbook was really, really hot (so I turned the settings down, because I don't want to damage it ). If this problem persists, please ask for help on this thread, the forums, or see EA/Origin Help for further help. The game presets these options based solely on your graphics card, so selecting a lower settings may improve your performance. BUT, the laptop was at least 2x as hot as on Mac OS X. Go into settings, select graphics, and check your graphics settings. I started it up, and when I went to the settings, it was automatically on Medium 1366x768, with no Laptop Mode. Set App Tamer to the throttle the Sims 4 to 2 CPU when not in focus and as soon as you alt tab, your Macbook will begin cooling down. ![]() I installed Windows 10, and also installed The Sims 4. ![]() And yes, I do have the opaque windows glitch. I always play on Medium, 1366x768, and Laptop Mode enabled. Simply drop the GraphicsRules.sgr file into the save game folder for The Sims 4 in your Documents. This is not a question, but me simply telling you all about my experience about the frame difference on Mac OS X and Windows 10. ![]()
